And we're off!

We have now departed from home and are on the way to China!!! What a long day, finishing packing, cleaning up the house a little and then head to the airport. We are going a short way from Ottawa to Toronto because that is where our international portion of our flight will depart. With the bad weather we have had this year we all thought it would be a good idea to make sure we would not have connection problems.
It of course was snowing again so we had to be iced so we started flying about 30 minutes after getting on the flight. Looks like our plan is working!
I'm typing this in the air!! Tonight we will check into an airport hotel, grab a quick bite to eat and then crash. But tomorrow morning we can relax by the hotel pool and have a liesurely breakfast before heading off to our 13 hour flight. We are not looking forward to it but you do what you gotta do!

We will arrive in Beijing around 4pm China time which is 12hr ahead of EST. We will then spend a day sightseeing in Beijing before taking off for Jiansu province on Monday. And once Monday hits we will be only 7 days away from Vivi!!!
