December 17 was a big day in our household. It all started on the day before though in a prayer meeting at our house. The adoption agency let us know there was room in China program and we met with some family to pray and ask God if we should make the leap to register officially. My cousin had a wonderful picture for us about God building us a bridge and how He is always beside us making sure we won't fall. Its so true. He does have us and is leading us down this path and as long as we keep listening to His voice we can't go astray. So back to the 17th... hubby and I made the decision to register with our agency and become waiting parents of a little girl from China! Oh happy day! Best Christmas present came early! Next steps are to finish the home study, get provincial approval, authenticate our documents, send our dossier to China and wait for a referral.
We are coming to get you vivi!!!! It might take a year or so but we are on the way to meet you sweet girl <3 I love you already so much.

Birthdays and decisions
November is adoption month. November is also my birthday month and I could not have asked for a better present than to have made a decision as a couple to begin the adoption process!! We had been praying and asking God for direction as to how to build our family. We were not 100% sure but its a long process and we knew that if this wasn't His plan for us that He would make sure that the adoption door would close.
We set up the first meeting with our social worker and registered for the necessary adoption training courses. Since we just moved into our new home this created a super busy month. The training sessions took place in another city so we traveled back and forth for two weekends in a row. Learned a lot about parenting adopted children, dos and don't. And also got in a little shopping on the side! I bought the most fabulous skirt for my Christmas outfit. When we weren't in adoption training we were busy doing RCMP fingerprinting and local police checks, as well as doing medicals at the doctors. Busy busy! All worth it to get a good start on the paperwork required.

Finding Vivi
Hello all... future adoptive mom here. Hubby and I are beginning the process to find our girl Vivi!!!
I want to keep our family and friends updated as well as be able to share with vivi the story before we met her. Which I can't wait to by the way. I've waited a long time to meet her and it cannot come soon enough!
